What We Collect (And What We Don't)

We DO collect:

✓Anonymous user ID (randomly generated, not linked to you)
✓Journal content (only if you choose to save)
✓Mood, context, and focus selections
✓Timestamps of your sessions

We DON'T collect:

✗Your real name or email
✗IP addresses or location data
✗Device identifiers or browser fingerprints
✗Third-party cookies or tracking pixels

How We Protect Your Data

Encryption in Transit: All data is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS when traveling between your device and our servers.

Secure Storage: Your data is stored in encrypted databases with restricted access.

Rate Limiting: We protect against abuse with rate limiting on all endpoints.

Input Sanitization: All user input is sanitized to prevent security vulnerabilities.

AIme Conversations

When you chat with AIme, our AI companion:

•Your messages are sent to eff.today's servers, which use OpenAI's API to generate responses
•Only your messages and mood context are sent — your identity is never shared with OpenAI
•OpenAI doesn't retain your conversations after generating responses
•Conversations aren't stored unless you choose to save them
•You can burn AIme conversations just like journals

Your Rights & Control

You can always:

• Delete any saved content permanently
• Export your data at any time
• Use the service without creating an account
• Leave without a trace - we don't retain burned content

Remember: Your anonymous ID is stored in your browser. If you clear your browser data, you'll get a new anonymous ID and won't be able to access previously saved content.
